| I've done a quick study on this reading some other sites and if you listen to near the end of the video the woman thought the guy had briefed that being slapped could happen. Either he hadn't or he didnt remember.
I'm betting he wasn't at all being the producers were seeking a "real" reaction. While the hostess thought she was within bounds of this "reality" game show in slapping this guy. I am sickened by the idea of hitting a woman and he hit her HARD. But I believe one is well within their rights to return a blow regardless of the gender of the offender.
Both of them are victims in this to some extent. You can also hear her crying off camera. They were both crying. And the dudes jumping in went overboard trying to be some macho hero types. |

For the testosterone crowd its about credentials and why they are the biggest swinging dick. For others it night actually be an issue of double standards (but I doubt its much more than some spoiled brats). At the very least you should all be able to see that violence against women is an important issue, though that discussion is bet for violence against women who aren't violent first. Also painfully obvious (to those of us worthy of knuckles that don't drag) is the issue of whether or not violence is ever the appropriate response in the face of something so trivial as a slap. Yes she was wrong to slap him and I will concede that she does seem to be a bit of a cunt but the ideal response to that problem would have been to turn the other cheek (and hope that it didnt get slapped as well) and let her employers deal with the fact that she slapped him. In this case he responded in kind, got the shit beaten out of him and made her a martry. Now he looks like a tit and he cried on live television after being hit by a girl. Who came out better from that exchange and who got what they deserved.
